Once we’ve covered the basics, we’ll outline the best stream settings for OBS Studio broadcasts. First, we’ll review what OBS Studio is and what it does. We’ve put together our top tips for optimizing OBS settings for live streaming. This guide walks you through the best OBS studio settings for streaming and professional broadcasting. Encoding is essential to professional live streaming for several reasons. One critical technical topic related to broadcasting is live stream encoding software and the encoding process. Learning output quality settings and how they impact your video content enables you to create better live streams within the internet latency and set-up capabilities you have available. It’s pretty easy to create high-quality live streams today, but successful live broadcasts require a little know-how and technical experience or understanding. Learning to play around with OBS studio settings for streaming also gives you greater control over the elements that make up your streaming content, such as video resolution, rather than relying on the default settings alone. Why do broadcasters need to learn OBS bitrate streaming settings? Because knowing the best OBS studio settings is how you can elevate your live streams to professional-grade broadcasts. OBS, or open broadcaster software, is one such tool that makes the technical side of streaming simpler to manage. This is just temporary while my PSU is out on my gaming rig and the seller I bought my new one from gets off his ass and ships it.OobsoAs live video streaming becomes more prevalent in our day-to-day lives, many businesses are experimenting with broadcasting. Is there a workaround? Has anyone else experienced the same problem?Įdit: I thought I should maybe post my specs. It will only crash if both sources are set to be detected. No setting is different from before, I'm not on a different computer, and the crappy capture card and webcam both work fine. I have reinstalled at least six times and I'm still getting the same results. That doesn't work and I again just get the red-outlined box during the scene edit, so it at least recognizes that I have multiple sources. I have tried unticking the box for the webcam beforehand so the game shows up and ticking the box to display the webcam in the middle of the preview. But when I do both, it will always only detect my webcam over my game even though the red box during "edit scene" shows up for the game. Everything works fine if I only preview one or the other, and there's no crashing. However, not only is this an issue again, but OBS will not detect both at the same time. Reinstalling has always fixed this issue. Lately, randomly for the past few weeks whenever it decides to not work, OBS has been crashing every single time I stop "preview stream" while I have both my webcam and game previewed at the same time.
